The Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad is proud to announce that we are the first department in Calvert County to purchase and deploy a Ferno stretcher. Our new stretcher was installed in Ambulance 49 and training sessions for members have been given over the past week.
The major advantage of this stretcher over others is it's ease of use and reduction of physical lifting needed for loading and unloading patients into and out of our units. Two of our members were gracious enough to provide a small demonstration of removing and inserting the Ferno stretcher out of and into Ambulance 49.
